One of the drivers of the racial wealth divide is an increased exposure to wealth-stripping products and services including costly credit. As African American families try to make ends meet and invest in their own futures, they too often find themselves in unmanageable debt with few good resources or support.
With support from MetLife Foundation, Prosperity Now is exploring how community based organizations serving primarily lower-income African American communities can support clients in addressing debt.
