I'M HOME Network
At Prosperity Now, we are constantly striving to provide more Americans—especially people of color—the chance for homeownership. This is why we continue our work through the I’M HOME Network to promote a safe, stable, and affordable path to homeownership and wealth creation for low- and moderate-income residents. In conjunction with our I’M HOME Network partner organizations, Prosperity Now advocates for the value of manufactured housing in the affordable housing arena. However, limited access to affordable financial products, the shortage of affordable starter homes and other barriers keep too many low- and moderate- income Americans at risk for homelessness. Manufactured housing is an opportunity that low- and moderate- income families need to achieve the dream of homeownership. Although there are many myths about manufactured housing, in reality it remains one of the largest sources of unsubsidized affordable housing in the United States.
To further the cause of Manufactured Housing, Prosperity Now established the I'M HOME Network---a collaborative practitioners, policy advocates, and homeowners/renters in the manufactured housing field to offer feedback and help shape the initiatives of I'M HOME Programming at Prosperity Now. To date, the Network consists of nearly 4,000 members across the country. t is through the work of our committed partners in the I’M HOME Network that we continue to advance our vision of ensuring everyone in our country has a clear path to homeownership. Join the I’m HOME Network today!
Want to be more connected?
In early 2017, the I’M HOME Network will launch five working groups to support and expand the work of the Network. The working groups provide members of the I’M HOME Network with an opportunity to share their expertise and join with other members to tackle important problems in the manufactured housing field. Check out the I'M HOME Working Groups to see how you can get even more involved.
15th Annual I'M HOME Conference
For the past 15 years, I’M HOME has convened a range of stakeholders interested in applying manufactured housing solutions to affordable housing challenges. Our annual conference brings together affordable housing developers, lenders, policymakers, industry experts, homeowners, community organizers and more. This year’s conference in Portland was our largest ever with almost 300 attendees. We hope to make next year's conference even better! A huge thank you to the Local Planning Committee and our sponsors! Click here, to view this year's conference materials. Click here to find materials from 2018.
