Kasey Wiedrich

Senior Fellow

Kasey Wiedrich is a Senior Fellow at Prosperity Now, where she works on a portfolio of projects researching household financial security and well-being, as well as effective practices to help families build financial capability and wealth. In addition, Kasey manages the Prosperity Now Scorecard which is a state-by-state assessment of how families are faring and the strength of state policies. She has managed several projects under contract with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and has co-authored several Prosperity Now publications, including In Search of Solid Ground: Understanding the Financial Vulnerabilities of Microbusiness Owners and Financial Education & Account Access Among Elementary Students: Findings from the Assessing Financial Capability Outcomes Youth Pilot. 

Prior to joining Prosperity Now in 2007, Kasey worked for the City of New York at the Department of Citywide Administrative Services and the Department of Housing Preservation and Development. While in graduate school, she conducted research on factors associated with uptake and knowledge of the EITC. She also worked with Public/Private Ventures conducting qualitative evaluations of workforce development programs in New York City. Prior to graduate school, Kasey managed one of the largest IDA programs in the country at the Opportunity Fund in San Jose, CA. 

Kasey holds an MPA from New York University's Wagner School of Public Service and a BA in Sociology/Anthropology from Carleton College.
