A Duty to Serve: Opportunities Ahead for the Manufactured Housing Finance Market, Part 1 (Recording)

In December 2016, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) released its long-anticipated final Duty to Serve rule, specifying how Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the Enterprises) will meet their obligations to support three underserved markets, including manufactured housing. The rule has the potential to significantly improve housing financing options for buyers of manufactured homes who are often relegated to high-cost, short-term loans that put vulnerable homeowners at unnecessary risk. On this webinar, representatives from Prosperity Now and NCLC explained the impact of the rule on manufactured housing and how advocates can continue to make their voices heard as Fannie and Freddie seek input on their plans to put the new rule into action.
