Washington, D.C. — Today Prosperity Now announced two strategic leadership appointments that reinforce the organization’s operational strength and long-term direction as it continues to grow in scale, complexity, and national relevance.
Dave Uejio joins as Chief Operating Officer. Uejio most recently served at the Federal Housing Finance Agency, where he led policy, data, and oversight for regulated entities across the housing finance system. He previously served as Acting Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), where he held senior executive roles including Head of Supervision, Enforcement, and Fair Lending and Chief Strategy Officer. Uejio has led all aspects of a major regulatory agency, directed compliance oversight operations, and established clear rules of the road for the adoption of emerging technologies by financial institutions. At Prosperity Now, he will oversee internal operations, enterprise systems, and performance management to ensure organizational alignment and execution at scale.
Chrissi Johnson assumes the role of Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer, after serving as Vice President of External Affairs. Her cross-sector leadership includes roles at the CFPB, Rocket Companies, and as founder of The Alinement Initiative—a nonprofit focused on advancing mission-aligned solutions in real estate and financial technology. Johnson has led major public affairs efforts, built high-performing external partnerships, and advised senior decision-makers across industries. In her new role, she will lead strategy, public affairs, business development, and innovation, including oversight of Prosperity Next, the organization’s national initiative supporting digital solutions for community-serving institutions.
“We’re building the kind of leadership team needed to scale our reach and modernize our position as a force multiplier,” said Marisa Calderon, President and CEO of Prosperity Now. “Dave and Chrissi bring deep expertise in operations, digital strategy, organizational performance, and enterprise growth—experience that will help drive greater alignment and innovation across our work and increase value for the communities we serve. These leadership shifts, in concert with the strength of our full executive team, amplify our capacity, expand our influence, and accelerate our progress.”
The addition of Uejio and the expanded leadership role for Johnson reinforce Prosperity Now’s executive bench, accelerating enterprise strategy, enhancing cross-functional alignment, and equipping the organization for long-term institutional growth.
